Sisters in Strength: A Single Mothers and Widows Ministry

Sisters In Strength is a local inner-city mission supported by Vital 2 Life Ministries, dedicated to serving widows, orphans, and single mothers to fulfill the call of James 1:27. We are enacting pure religion to help orphans and widows in their distress. Through initiatives like our Back to School Drive, Mother’s Day Event, and Christmas Giveaway, we create opportunities for unity, support, and empowerment within our community. Throughout the year, we host various events to foster connection and camaraderie, ensuring that every woman and child we serve feels seen and supported.
 

A key highlight of our mission is the annual Kidwell Grant Giveaway, which provides financial assistance to help women take meaningful steps toward a better future.

Beyond our local efforts, we are expanding our reach with national mission trips, aiming to serve orphans and widows beyond the states. More details on these initiatives will be shared soon!

J.D. Kidwell

The J&D Kidwell Legacy Grant is designed to support Single Mothers and Widows during the Holiday Season. It is awarded in November, on an annual basis. This grant is specifically available to Single Moms and Widows in the Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, and Brookshire areas of Texas.

Qualifications:

  • Single Mom or Widow residing in the Katy, Fulshear, Richmond, and Brookshire areas of Texas
  • Be available to receive the grant in person
  • Must complete and submit the application per the instructions
