Worship Leader
(Preparing Future Generations to Evangelize the World)
PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: Responsible to the church/ministry for leading, developing, promoting, all song selections and implementing all music ministries of the church/ministry under the supervision of the Pastor. Additionally, the Ministers of Music will be a strong leader possessing a passion for the Holy Spirit to guide the worship services. At Vital 2 life we believe that through our worship, God will be praised and glorified, people will be connected with each other, and the un-churched and non-believers will hear the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ. This is currently a Part Time exempt salaried position with the goal of becoming Full Time exempt salaried positions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and be striving to grow in that relationship.
- Must be a member or become a member of Vital 2 Life Ministries
- Must have the ability to choose, arrange, and plan song selections appropriate for Church/Ministry Services.
- A heart for personal and corporate worship of God.
- A passion to involve and equip generations for ministry.
- A yearning to reach the lost and Chase after the “1”
- Must be presentable in appearance while working at church or leading services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in concert with the pastor to develop and coordinate music for the worship services that fit the theme of the service.
- Recruit, lead and train the choir, ensemble, all musicians, all assigned to Music Ministry.
- Develop key music ministries within the congregation and supervise the organization and direction of such individuals/groups:
– All Musicians
– Vocal/Instrumental Soloists & Ensembles - Music/Song Direction for each service through end of service.
- Provide input into all events and services which require music.
- Plan special programs for holiday services, Back to School & Fire on the Alter
- Arrange for a replacement in the event of an absence.
The Minister of Music will be evaluated by the Pastor in accordance with the statement of duties and responsibilities outlined above. The performance of the Minister of music will be reviewed during the first year six months and twelve months, and on a yearly basis thereafter.
Director of Counseling/Care Ministries
POSITION Summary:
The primary focus of this position is developing and managing Biblical counseling/Care ministries that center largely in discipleship, spiritual maturity, bringing people to better mental, spiritual, and emotional health, equipping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. This person will serve as a Resource Specialist, maintaining a comprehensive referral base, connecting needs to resources both internally within the ministry and externally in the community.
What you will do:
- Oversee the operations of the biblical counseling ministry area including recruiting, training, and development for the counseling team.
- Lead the Counseling & Care team creating strategies, marketing, and training in aspects of Biblical counseling.
- Maintain his/her own professional credentials, as well as supervision and clinical skills; and achieve NCCA Advanced Certification as a Licensed Pastoral Counselor
- Ensure that counseling center operations meet all legal and ethical standards.
- Oversee all aspects of Pastoral Counseling Training through NCCA
- Oversee and organize the Annual fundraiser
- Guidance, encouragement and counseling for the ministry staff.
- Oversee Care and Support ministries, including Grief Sharing, Divorce Care etc. for the church
- Will seek opportunities for new donor recruitment, maintenance of relationships with current donors, and the oversight of Donor Development/Engagement campaigns.
Experience you have:
- Leadership/Management experience working in a ministerial setting
- History of building strong counseling and ministry teams.
- Aligns with the vision, values, and doctrinal statement of Vital 2 Life Ministries
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, pastoral care or related field
- 4+ years’ experience in counseling-related field and/or care ministry
- Theologically sound, exhibiting spiritual maturity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Adept in dealing with crisis situations
- Self-starter, organized and able to give direction to various teams
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel

- Fundraising- Comfortable with engaging donors to partner with the counseling ministry.
- Counseling – Gifted at providing impactful pastoral counseling for various needs. Good at resolving conflict and being a peacemaker between individuals. Proven ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Discipleship – Able to personally disciple individuals toward spiritual maturity. Must have a strong ability to help people identify areas for growth and encourage them to move in that direction.
- Teaching & Communication – Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input.
- Administration – Ability to plan, organize, implement, and refine ministry programming and systems. Self-motivated and able to lead tasks or projects to completion. Competent at multitasking, time management, and prioritizing.

The performance of the Director of Counseling /Care Ministry will be reviewed during the first 30 days, 90 days, six months and twelve months, and on a yearly basis thereafter
