Dr. Tennyson Smith II
President of Vital 2 Life
Dr. Tennyson Smith is the Co-Founder of Vital 2 Life. He knew many years back that God was calling him into counseling but it was not until tragedy struck his family that God began to reveal His plan to him. Tennyson began Vital 2 Life in November of 2019. He earned his Ph.D in Clinical Christian Counseling and holds an MBA in Human Resources.

Minister Meka Smith
Vice President of Vital 2 Life
Minister Meka Smith is the Co-Founder of Vital 2 Life. She, like her husband, Tennyson, knew many years back that God was calling her into counseling but it was not until tragedy struck their family that God began to reveal His plan to her.
Meka is a registered nurse and provides hospice care. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Trauma and Crisis. She specializes in trauma and crisis, young adults, marriage counseling, and women’s counseling.

Nathaniel Whitmyer Jr.
Discipleship Minister
Nathaniel (AKA Nate) is a devout man of God who has a heart to serve God’s people and a desire to walk alongside those who are lost, broken, hurting, and overlooked. In 2025, he left his career in finance to pursue full-time ministry out of obedience to God and has helped lay a solid foundation at Vital 2 Life alongside the leadership team. With over 10 years of ministry experience and creative thinking, he has become a strong pillar that Vital 2 Life can count on for years to come. It is a blessing to have someone like Nate, who truly embodies what it means to chase after the one on the Vital 2 Life team.
