Dr. Tennyson Smith II
President of Vital 2 Life
Dr. Tennyson Smith is the Co-Founder of Vital 2 Life. He knew many years back that God was calling him into counseling but it was not until tragedy struck his family that God began to reveal His plan to him. Tennyson began Vital 2 Life in November of 2019. He earned his Ph.D in Clinical Christian Counseling and holds an MBA in Human Resources.

Minister Meka Smith
Vice President of Vital 2 Life
Minister Meka Smith is the Co-Founder of Vital 2 Life. She, like her husband, Tennyson, knew many years back that God was calling her into counseling but it was not until tragedy struck their family that God began to reveal His plan to her.
Meka is a registered nurse and provides hospice care. She holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Trauma and Crisis. She specializes in trauma and crisis, young adults, marriage counseling, and women’s counseling.

Alphonzo Ward
Ministry Coordinator
Vital 2 Life welcomes Alphonzo Ward as our Ministry Coordinator. Al is innovative, full of zeal, knowledge and constantly learning. He is set to free up Dr. Tennyson Smith II to expand as needed and we are honored to have him present with us. Al brings joy, vitality and strength we need and we’re honored to have him on this mission of chasing after the 1.
Alphonzo is a loving husband to Jenesis Ward and father to Emory Ward. As we expand, Alphonzo will lead as Youth Minister creating an environment where the youth of today are prepared for tomorrow lively services and events that seal identity in Christ, calls them up to the purpose they were created and helps instill the mind of Christ. We are blessed to have him join the team as his heart is hidden in Our Father in Heaven.
Myisha Tate
Myisha brings a wealth of experience and a shared belief that EveryOne Matters. Key roles include discipleship, missions, program and mentorship development, community relations, vision strategizing, ensuring heartfelt worship is done in spirit and truth, creating volunteer opportunities and events to greatly serve the widow, orphan and single moms in Sisters in Strength. Myisha is an Ordained Minister, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, is a Facilitator of Inner Healing and is presently completing a degree program with an emphasis in Mental Health. She lives letting people know they are loved. We all matter. We’re beautiful and gifts meant to contribute to life. Myisha embodies the heart of our mission to chase after the 1.
